In the National District and the Santo Domingo province, the 16 sections of the union will meet at <strong>Independencia Park<\/strong>, while in the other provinces the activities will take place in front of the educational district headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The call was announced by the president of the ADP, <strong>Eduardo Hidalgo<\/strong>, through a circular addressed to the union&#8217;s structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We recommend reading: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/adp-estima-que-hasta-3000\/\">ADP estimates that up to 3,000 teachers could start the school year under contract<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The union clarified that the day of protest <strong>does not include a work stoppage or the suspension of teaching activities<\/strong>, so the actions will be limited to the rallies called throughout the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mobilization will take place a few days before the start of the 2026-2027 school year, set for <strong>August 24<\/strong>, when the Ministry of Education is carrying out the final phase of preparation with training sessions aimed at thousands of teachers across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this new call, the ADP seeks for the authorities to address the demands related to incentives and pending payments derived from the Teacher Performance Evaluation process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo.\u2013 The Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP) announced the holding of simultaneous rallies in all educational districts of the country next Thursday, August 20, as part of its demands to the Ministry of Education (Minerd) for the payment of salary incentives and retroactives corresponding to the Teacher Performance Evaluation (EDD).
