{"id":521903,"date":"2026-08-18T07:03:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T11:03:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/moca-announces-its-first-four-foreign-reinforcements-for-the-ldf\/"},"modified":"2026-08-18T07:03:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T11:03:13","slug":"moca-announces-its-first-four-foreign-reinforcements-for-the-ldf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/sports\/football\/moca-announces-its-first-four-foreign-reinforcements-for-the-ldf\/","title":{"rendered":"Moca announces its first four foreign reinforcements for the LDF"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.<\/strong> Moca announces its first four foreign reinforcements for the 2026-2027 season of the Dominican Football League (LDF), a campaign in which the championship will once again be played through the Apertura and Clausura tournaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Moca-based team announced the signing of three Colombian players and one Argentine to strengthen different areas of their squad under the technical direction of Jean Carlos Guell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the additions is the Colombian forward <strong>Jhoaho Rivelino Hinestroza<\/strong>, who has experience in clubs from his country such as Once Caldas, Atl\u00e9tico Nacional, and Am\u00e9rica de Cali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joining Hinestroza is his compatriot <strong>\u00c9der Balanta Ar\u00e9valo<\/strong>, a defensive-minded midfielder who has been part of Atl\u00e9tico FC and Deportivo Pasto in Colombian soccer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The third Colombian soccer player announced by Moca FC is central defender <strong>Kevin Saucedo<\/strong>, whose career includes stints with Real Monarchs in the United States; Botafogo in Brazil; Deportivo Cali, Castanhal, Jaguares FC, and the Millonarios U-20 category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saucedo has also been part of the <strong>Colombia U-20 National Team<\/strong>, according to the data provided by the club when announcing the new signings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list of foreign additions is completed by the Argentine midfielder <strong>Jorge Gast\u00f3n Comas<\/strong>, a player who has belonged to Uni\u00f3n, Atl\u00e9tico G\u00fcemes, Ben Hur de Rafaela, and C\u00edrculo Deportivo Nicanor Otamendi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comas also has international experience with Gualberto Villarroel, from Bolivia, and is already familiar with Dominican soccer after his time with Salcedo FC in the Dominican Soccer League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With these moves, <strong>Moca announces its first four foreign reinforcements<\/strong> to form the squad that will participate in a season divided once again into two championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2026-2027 season format<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Dominican Soccer League will feature eight teams during the 2026-2027 campaign. The schedule will be divided between the Apertura and Clausura tournaments, each with its own regular season and elimination stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In each tournament, the clubs will play a regular round under a round-robin system, for a total of <strong>14 matches per team<\/strong>. Once that stage is completed, the four best-placed teams in the standings will advance to the semifinals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Apertura Tournament<\/strong> is scheduled from <strong>August 21 to December 6, 2026<\/strong>, while the <strong>Clausura Tournament<\/strong> will take place between <strong>January 9 and April 17, 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The format ensures that each club plays at least <strong>28 matches during the season<\/strong>, adding up the commitments of the regular phases of both tournaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Moca FC, the structure seeks to provide greater continuity to the Dominican professional soccer calendar during the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the start of the Apertura approaches, <strong>Moca announces its first four foreign reinforcements<\/strong> as part of the squad formation that Jean Carlos Guell will lead in the new LDF season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo.
