Tehran<\/strong>.- The Speaker of Parliament and chief Iranian negotiator, Mohamad Baqer Qalibaf<\/a><\/strong>, insisted this Tuesday that Iran<\/strong> will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz<\/strong> until the United States<\/strong> meets its conditions, and warned that the Persian country has strengthened itself during the truce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abLet me make it clear: (we will not reopen) until the commitments made by the United States<\/strong> in the memorandum of understanding are met\u201d, the politician said before the Iranian Parliament<\/strong> in statements reported by state media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran’s conditions for reopening Hormuz<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Qalibaf<\/strong> mentioned among the conditions the lifting of the blockade, the release of frozen assets<\/strong>, the lifting of oil sanctions, and the end of military operations on all fronts, that is, against Iran<\/strong>, but also those of Israel<\/strong> against Lebanon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former revolutionary guard also warned that the Islamic Republic<\/a><\/strong> has reinforced itself militarily during the weeks of truce and is ready to \u201cinflict a greater defeat\u201d on the United States<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expired truce and military tension<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
