The Dominican Republic is expected to be among the economies with the strongest growth in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2026, according to projections from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ECLAC estimates that the Dominican economy will grow 4% this year<\/strong>, placing it alongside Guatemala among the countries with the highest projected growth rates in the region. Guyana leads the ranking with 16.2%, followed by Venezuela at 6.5%, Nicaragua at 4.5%, Panama at 4.4% and Paraguay at 4.3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The regional economy is projected to grow 2.2% in 2026<\/strong>, down from 2.4% in 2025.
