To make us leave,\u201d the artist said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bad Bunny also warned about what he described as a process of <strong>\u201cselling the island piece by piece\u201d<\/strong>, eventually creating, in his words, <strong>\u201ca Puerto Rico without Puerto Ricans.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The singer insisted that the island\u2019s future is in the hands of its own people and urged Puerto Ricans to defend their homeland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cYou are the ones who will save this people. We are the ones who will save them, and I include myself,\u201d<\/strong> he declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His comments come amid ongoing concerns over <strong>water supplies and drought conditions<\/strong> in Puerto Rico. According to the information provided, <strong>33.31% of the island\u2019s territory<\/strong> is affected by drought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Against that backdrop, Puerto Rico Governor <strong>Jenniffer Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> signed two executive orders on <strong>July 31<\/strong> declaring a <strong>state of emergency related to water use<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The concert therefore became both a major musical event and a platform for Bad Bunny to deliver a message about Puerto Rico, its current challenges and the responsibility he believes its people have to protect the island.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Puerto Rico.
