{"id":522446,"date":"2026-08-25T11:31:56","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T15:31:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/?p=522446"},"modified":"2026-08-25T11:32:03","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T15:32:03","slug":"nypd-seeks-dominican-man-wanted-in-connection-with-his-mothers-death-in-the-bronx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/international\/nypd-seeks-dominican-man-wanted-in-connection-with-his-mothers-death-in-the-bronx\/","title":{"rendered":"NYPD seeks Dominican man wanted in connection with his mother\u2019s death in the Bronx"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The New York Police Department (NYPD) released a photograph of <strong>33-year-old Dominican national Bob Johnny Guzm\u00e1n Soto<\/strong> and is asking for the public\u2019s help locating him in connection with the death of his mother, <strong>57-year-old Josefa Soto De Carmen<\/strong>, also Dominican.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The photo released by police shows Guzm\u00e1n Soto <strong>walking through the lobby of an apartment building while pulling a small suitcase<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to police, officers found Soto De Carmen dead inside her home in the Bronx, near <strong>Grand Concourse and E. 168th Street<\/strong>, at around 3:25 p.m. Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The woman had suffered <strong>trauma to her head and torso<\/strong>, and her death was later classified as a homicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, <strong>no charges have been filed<\/strong> against Guzm\u00e1n Soto in connection with his mother\u2019s death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neighbors described the family as troubled, although they said Guzm\u00e1n Soto was <strong>quiet and reserved<\/strong>.
