The attacks came days after Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani met with Israeli intelligence officials in Jordan for U.S.-mediated talks. Damascus described the meeting as an attempt to put an end to Israel\u2019s ongoing \u201cattacks, arrests and targeted operations\u201d inside Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
