Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong> A man reported that his first granddaughter was allegedly deported to Haiti along with her mother, a 16-year-old Haitian teenager<\/a> who was in an irregular migratory status in the Dominican Republic, even though the child’s father is Dominican.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visibly affected, the grandfather recounted the efforts he claimed to have made to prevent the minor from being taken to Haitian territory, although he stated that his efforts were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am thinking about what could happen to that little girl because she is walking alone on the street in Haiti,\u201d she expressed through tears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an interview with journalist Edith Febles on the program El D\u00eda<\/em>, the man explained that his only son, 25 years old, was in a relationship with the Haitian teenager, who subsequently became pregnant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grandfather expressed concern about the conditions in which his granddaughter might currently be and the risks that, he asserts, she could face in Haiti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
