Punta Cana, La Altagracia.\u2013<\/strong> The XXXVIII Commercial Exhibition of the Dominican Republic Hotel and Tourism Association (Asonahores<\/a>) <\/strong>closed its 2026 edition with record figures, reaching 323 spaces occupied by more than 200 participating companies and exceeding 5,000 visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held from September 2 to 4 at BlueMall Punta Cana<\/strong>, the fair reached the largest scale in its 38-year history, consolidating itself as one of the main business platforms linked to the Dominican tourism value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flow of visitors also exceeded the 2025 records, when around 4,000 people participated in the exhibition, according to data provided by Asonahores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another indicator highlighted by the association was the retention of participating companies. 85% of the companies returned to the exhibition, where they presented their products and services, generated business contacts, and had direct engagement with buyers in the tourism industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The executive vice president of Asonahores, Aguie Lendor<\/strong>, stated that the growth of the fair and the recurring participation of companies reflect the business opportunities generated by tourism beyond hotel activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe fact that 85% of companies are returning and that this year we have reached 323 occupied spaces and more than 5,000 visitors demonstrates the solidity that the Trade Exhibition has built over time,\u201d expressed Lendor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The executive explained that the composition of the fair allowed for showcasing the diversity of sectors that are part of the chain linked to tourism<\/strong>, with companies in food and beverages, technology, financial services, furniture, kitchen equipment, and energy solutions, among other areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition also featured the participation of Dominican companies and international firms, creating a space for connection between suppliers, buyers, and representatives of the tourism industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the three days, the event also included an agenda of discussions on CONFOTUR,<\/strong> the national economic environment, the criminal liability of legal entities, artificial intelligence and the transformation of the tourism and hotel industry, as well as the role of private equity and investment funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
