Brazilian bodybuilder Alex de Souza Luz, known as \u201cLek\u00e3o,\u201d became a bodybuilding champion at 29 after years of intense training and determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a child, Lek\u00e3o faced challenges with movement and coordination but refused to let his condition define his limits. He began weight training about a decade ago to gain greater independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the years, strength training helped improve his balance, reduce involuntary tremors and make everyday activities such as walking, climbing stairs, eating and brushing his teeth easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What began as a journey toward greater mobility eventually took him to the competitive bodybuilding stage, where his victory became a powerful message of perseverance and inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
