Among the entities visited were the University of Maryland NanoCenter, Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), MacroTechnology Works, Southwest Advanced Prototyping (SWAP) Hub, Atlanta Tech Park, and Maricopa Community Colleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We recommend reading:<a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"674892\"> Funglode and GFDD strengthen their presence at artificial intelligence summits<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agenda allowed for learning about different stages of the semiconductor value chain and the collaboration mechanisms between universities, companies, research centers, governments, and communities to develop specialized talent and generate new economic opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sosa Machado highlighted that semiconductors play an increasingly relevant role in sectors such as artificial intelligence, telecommunications, automation, mobility, and other areas of the technological economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor the Dominican Republic, it is strategic to understand these dynamics, identify niches in which it can develop capabilities, and build alliances that allow it to participate more actively in the new technological economy,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the follow-up to the experience, the Center for Future Studies is working on identifying practices that can be adapted to the conditions of the Dominican Republic, with an emphasis on innovation, specialized training, and the development of technological sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The process also included a meeting with the United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, <strong>Leah Francis Campos<\/strong>, who hosted Dominican IVLP participants at her residence.
