Santo Domingo.\u2013 <\/strong>Banco de Reservas<\/a> announced the availability of a RD$7 billion quota to finance the country’s productive sectors, as part of its strategy to support investment, business growth, production, and job creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement was made by the executive president of Banreservas, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, during the Santo Domingo Business Breakfast, held at the Aloft hotel with the participation of business owners, clients, and representatives from various productive sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aguilera stated that Banreservas maintains a strategy of supporting the business sector, based on close banking that understands the needs of its clients and seeks to back their investment and expansion projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that sense, he reported that during this year the financial entity has disbursed more than RD$44 billion to the business segment, destined mainly to construction, commerce, the agricultural sector, and manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The executive president also highlighted that this growth has occurred while maintaining the quality of the credit portfolio, which recorded a delinquency rate of just 0.18% as of August 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aguilera explained that the RD$7 billion available for the productive sectors aim to become new investments, stronger companies, higher levels of production, and new jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he pointed out that the Banreservas business segment is going through a year of significant results and projected that 2026 will close with unprecedented figures for this business area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his speech, Aguilera also highlighted the results obtained by Banreservas through various financing programs and initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He cited the real estate fairs held in Madrid and New York, which generated placements exceeding RD$8.712 billion, as well as the 2026 Rice Pledging Program, through which the institution has disbursed RD$8.578 billion, equivalent to more than 90% of the financing allocated to that sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The executive maintained that these results are developed in a context of stability and confidence that has favored investment and national productive activity, while reaffirming Banreservas’ commitment to continue supporting those who produce, invest, and generate jobs in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
