Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong> The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the National District will hear this Sunday, starting at 9:00 a.m.<\/strong>, the request for a coercive measure against Lenin Jhericop N\u00fa\u00f1ez de Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, accused of the death of the young man Emmanuel Contreras Medina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Public Prosecutor’s Office requested that N\u00fa\u00f1ez de Le\u00f3n be held in preventive detention<\/strong>, considering there is a risk of flight, because, according to the case file, the defendant left the country after the incident occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contreras Medina passed away on September 9<\/strong>, after remaining in a coma for several days under intensive care at the Ney Arias Lora Trauma Hospital, as a result of the injuries he sustained during an incident that occurred on July 1 at a baseball field in the Los Praditos sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, N\u00fa\u00f1ez de Le\u00f3n allegedly chased the victim with a bat and struck him on the back and head, causing him to fall to the pavement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation establishes that the incident occurred after a meeting arranged for the delivery of an iPhone 15 Pro Max<\/strong>, in an operation that also involves Joan Manuel Jim\u00e9nez Medina<\/strong>, identified by the Public Prosecutor’s Office as the person who allegedly received the victim’s money for the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00fa\u00f1ez de Le\u00f3n was arrested this past September 11<\/strong> at the Las Am\u00e9ricas International Airport (AILA), by virtue of an arrest warrant issued against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
