Dominican television host Chiky Bombom revealed that she has found love again, but said she is facing a challenge because her son, Cartier, is not willing to meet her new partner. The \u201cHoy D\u00eda\u201d host spoke about the situation during a segment on Telemundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the discussion, the presenters talked about when the right time is to introduce a new partner to children. Chiky Bombom explained that after being single for some time, she met someone with whom she has developed a strong connection and whom she believes is the right person to introduce to her son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said that she previously avoided having her son meet anyone she was dating because she considered him \u201csacred\u201d and did not want to introduce him to just anyone. However, she said her perspective changed after meeting her current partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI thought before, I used to say: \u2018My son is sacred, I can’t introduce him to anyone.\u2019 Until I found someone who truly deserves to meet my son,\u201d she said, explaining that she believes a person’s behavior and the way they treat her can show whether they are ready to meet her child. Despite that, she said, her son does not want to meet her partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Psychologist Jennifer Florez offered professional advice during the segment, saying that Chiky Bombom cannot force her son to meet or love her partner. However, she said the mother can create comfortable situations where the child does not feel threatened or believe that the new partner is trying to replace either parent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chiky Bombom recently faced another controversy after being temporarily suspended by Telemundo for comments she made during a TikTok livestream about the network’s financial situation and possible layoffs. She later apologized publicly and accepted responsibility for her remarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
