An agent specializing in juvenile matters gained access to the teenager&#8217;s account and communicated with Mahfoud as part of the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The doctor faces charges of <strong>second-degree sexual assault and distribution of a controlled substance to a person under 18 years of age<\/strong>. According to court documents cited by local media, Mahfoud pleaded not guilty and remains on a $300,000 bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The defendant has a hearing scheduled for next September 28th, while the authorities continue with the judicial process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mahfoud was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, where he earned his medical degree before moving to the United States.
