Throughout the day, both phenomena will favor an increase in rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You may be interested in:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/el-tiempo\/indomet-advierte-calor-de-severo-2\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/el-tiempo\/indomet-advierte-calor-de-severo-2\/\"><strong> <\/strong>INDOMET warns of severe to extreme heat in DR until September 22<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rains will mainly affect La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez, Duarte, Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez, Saman\u00e1, Espaillat, Santiago, Valverde, Santiago Rodr\u00edguez, Dajab\u00f3n, San Juan, San Crist\u00f3bal and Monse\u00f1or Nouel, as well as sectors of Greater Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Captura-de-pantalla-2026-09-17-081955.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-712932\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tropical wave and alerts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/indomet.gob.do\/pronostico\/informes-marino\/informe-del-tiempo\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/indomet.gob.do\/pronostico\/informes-marino\/informe-del-tiempo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet)<\/a><\/strong> maintains meteorological alerts and warnings for possible flooding of rivers, streams, and creeks, as well as landslides and urban flooding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hato Mayor, Valverde, Monte Plata, La Altagracia, La Romana, and San Pedro de Macor\u00eds are under alert, for a total of six provinces. Children, pregnant women, and the elderly are the groups most vulnerable to the effects of high temperatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the National District, Santo Domingo Norte, Santo Domingo Oeste, and Santo Domingo Este, the forecast is for partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with downpours, thunderstorms, and wind gusts after midday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minimum temperatures will range between 24 \u00b0C and 26 \u00b0C, while maximums will be between 33 \u00b0C and 35 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Copia-de-Copia-de-Post-de-Instagram-Feliz-Cumpleanos-Sencillo-Minimalista-Azul-1000-x-500-px-2026-09-17T081540.187.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-712929\" style=\"width:530px;height:auto\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tropical wave will move away on Friday<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Friday, the <strong>tropical wave<\/strong> will be moving away from the forecast area.
