New York.-<\/strong> President Luis Abinader<\/a><\/strong> urged those responsible for the attack on merengue artist Juli\u00e1n Oro Duro and his wife, Zeneida Socorro Castillo,<\/strong> who died during the incident that occurred at the couple’s residence in Santo Domingo East, to turn themselves in this Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The president referred to the case when approached by journalists during his agenda in New York, where he warned those involved that making themselves available to the authorities would be the best option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet them surrender, let us give them the chance to surrender, they will be better off. If they don’t surrender, they will be worse off,\u201d expressed Abinader.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The head of State described what happened as an \u201cunspeakable act of criminality\u201d<\/strong> and assured that the authorities will act to preserve citizen security and confront those responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCriminals of that ilk, who have no respect for human life, what they should do is turn themselves in; if not, things will go worse for them,\u201d he insisted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Abinader also expressed his condolences to the family of Zeneida Socorro Castillo<\/strong> and expressed his wish that Juli\u00e1n Oro Duro may recover from the injuries sustained.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe learned of this tragedy this morning. The first thing is our condolences to his family, which we are very sorry about, and we also hope that Oro Duro can recover from the wounds he suffered,\u201d the ruler declared.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The National Police<\/strong> reported that the artist, whose name is Gilberto Juli\u00e1n Sarante Perdomo, suffered craniofacial injuries and an intracranial hemorrhage.
