Santiago.-<\/strong> A Santiago accident<\/strong> left a 31-year-old woman dead<\/strong> this Wednesday morning, after the motorcycle she was riding on with her husband and her minor son was struck by a student transport bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred at the intersection of Estrella Sadhal\u00e1 and 27 de Febrero avenues, in the vicinity of the Presidente Antonio Guzm\u00e1n Fern\u00e1ndez government building, in Santiago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victim was identified as Marilandy Jim\u00e9nez Taveras<\/strong>, who was heading to her workplace along with her relatives aboard a black Tauro Turbo motorcycle when the collision occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crash caused the immediate death of Jim\u00e9nez Taveras, while her husband and son were injured and transported by units of the 9-1-1 National Emergency and Security Attention System<\/a> to the Maternal and Child Hospital of Santiago, where they are receiving medical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A witness who was in the vicinity described the scene:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI heard a \u2018bang\u2019 and immediately went out, but by the time I arrived at the scene of the accident, the young woman had already passed away\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

As family members and loved ones face the impact of the tragedy, members of the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif)<\/strong> transported the woman’s body to perform the corresponding autopsy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The authorities must determine the circumstances of the accident and establish the corresponding responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
