New York, United States.\u2013 The governments of the Dominican Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan signed an agreement on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports, which will facilitate the mobility of citizens of both countries and contribute to strengthening bilateral ties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, V\u00edctor -Ito- Bison\u00f3, and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, within the framework of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The instrument, signed with the country in the Caucasus region, establishes that nationals of either country holding valid ordinary passports shall be exempt from the visa requirement to enter, exit, or transit through the territory of the other party and may stay therein for a period not exceeding 90 days within each 180-day period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During their meeting, Foreign Ministers Bison\u00f3 and Bayramov also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between Azerbaijan, through which both governments establish a mechanism to strengthen dialogue on bilateral relations and exchange views regarding international and regional issues of common interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Subsequently, ministers V\u00edctor -Ito- Bison\u00f3 and Jeyhun Bayramov held a bilateral meeting in which they reviewed the agenda between both countries and discussed opportunities to continue expanding political, economic, and commercial ties, as well as identifying new areas of cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The signing of both instruments is part of the efforts to expand and diversify Dominican relations, facilitate greater connection with new markets, and promote an active economic diplomacy that contributes to generating opportunities for trade, investment, tourism, and cooperation for the benefit of national development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
