In an extended interview with \u201c60 Minutes,\u201d Patrick recalled the early days of their relationship, which began in 2013. He said they shared similar goals and wanted to have a family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe was just a fun-loving, outgoing person,\u201d he recalled, describing one of their first dates, when they flew a kite on a beach in Boston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The couple became engaged after about two and a half years and later had three children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months old<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When asked about Lindsay as a mother, Patrick described her as \u201cvery hands-on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Patrick said he began noticing significant changes in Lindsay about five months after Callan was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to his account, she went several nights without sleeping, leading to a hospital visit and prescriptions for medication. He described the following month to month and a half as a \u201cspiral,\u201d during which she experienced what she described as severe depression and anxiety while continuing to struggle with sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI didn\u2019t know how to manage a postpartum illness,\u201d Patrick said. He added that mental illness can be \u201ctragically deceptive\u201d and that there were things he may not have recognized at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lindsay Clancy was accused of killing the three children in their Massachusetts home in January 2023.
