Although it is completely preventable through vaccination, the disease continues to cause thousands of deaths each year, mainly in rural areas of developing countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">World Rabies Day seeks to promote concrete actions such as <strong>pet vaccination<\/strong>, education on safe animal handling, and timely access to post-exposure treatments for those who have been bitten.
