Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong> The 9-1-1 System<\/a><\/strong> presented new technological capabilities that include robots, first-response drones, and artificial intelligence during THE Weekly Agenda<\/strong>, led by President Luis Abinader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation showed how a 9-1-1 System call can trigger an integrated process that includes geolocation, Fast Route, dispatch of response agencies, and deployment of the VAPRE-M2, a first-responder drone that can arrive at the scene and transmit real-time information while units are en route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9-1-1 System and innovation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to these capabilities, there is urban video surveillance and artificial intelligence tools on NVIDIA infrastructure to support decision-making during emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another novelty is the incorporation of a robotic platform developed together with Boston Dynamics to support agencies in high-risk scenarios and reduce personnel exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technological 9-1-1 system<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With this technology applied to emergencies, the Dominican Republic becomes the fourth country in the Americas, after the United States, Canada, and Brazil, to incorporate it into this type of operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
