Washington.- <\/strong>U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio<\/strong> insisted this Monday that Cuba is a “failed state”<\/strong> and warned that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump<\/a> will not allow the island to become a base of operations against the country’s national security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As long as Trump is president, we will never allow Cuba to become a base of operations against the United States,” Rubio stated during an interview with the Fox News network.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The secretary maintained that the situation on the island represents a threat to Washington, using for at least the third time this year the term “failed state” to refer to Cuba and linked it then to U.S. national security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
