The U.S. mission to the United Nations informed the Iranian delegation that it had to leave New York immediately after the high-level meetings of the General Assembly had concluded. The decision came after negotiations involving U.S. and Iranian representatives failed to produce significant progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delegation later left New York and traveled to Doha. However, Iran\u2019s mission to the United Nations disputed the U.S. account, saying its departure had already been scheduled and that the itinerary had been communicated to the U.S. State Department in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
