Paris.- <\/strong>At least 600 arrested and 400 high schools closed <\/strong>is the provisional toll this Friday in a new day of student protests<\/strong> in France, sprinkled with some scenes of violence and serious acts of vandalism, French media reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Le Figaro, the provisional police toll at 11 local time (10 GMT) reported 600 arrests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the closure of the 400 high schools, which represent around 10% of the total number of institutes in France, this was a figure put forward this Friday by the French Minister of Education<\/a>, \u00c9douard Geffray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some centers have been the target of fires, including one in the XIII district and others in the XV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the severity of the protests, the French Minister of Justice, G\u00e9rald Darmanin, reported this Friday that he has asked prosecutors to demand civil liability from parents for the damages caused by their children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minister stated that about 300 police officers and gendarmes and more than 60 teachers and school administrators have been injured in the incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister of Justice also criticized leaders of the leftist party La France Insoumise (LFI)<\/strong>, including its leader Jean-Luc M\u00e9lenchon, whom he accused of contributing to the escalation of violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
