La Romana.- The Provincial Directorate of Health (DPS) of La Romana, under the direction of Dr. Carmen Jiménez, held the second working meeting with representatives of various institutions in the province, with the aim of addressing the situation of people with mental disorders.
The meeting was coordinated through the Mental Health Department of the DPS, headed by Doris M. Pérez, Esq. During the day, the participating institutions shared ideas, analyses, and proposals in a dialogue space focused on the comprehensive care of people with mental alienation who wander the streets of the province.
The activity saw the active participation of authorities from public institutions, social organizations, and key actors, who joined efforts to establish coordinated and sustainable lines of action. The common purpose was to dignify the lives of these people, guarantee their right to mental health, and contribute to the tranquility of the community, through effective responses that respect their human rights.
