In the intervention, four motorcycles were seized, used for the transportation of undocumented foreigners. The first motorcycle, brand Tauro, model CG200, black color, was driven by Luis Rodríguez, who was transporting two (2) Haitian nationals. Another motorcycle, brand Z3000, model CG150, color red, was driven by Ángel Rodríguez, resulting in the detention of two (2) other undocumented individuals. A third one, a Super Cat brand, CG200 model, black color, driven by Arismendy García, was also detained with two (2) illegal foreigners and another Tauro brand, CG200 model, black color, driven by Enmanuel Rodríguez, transporting two (2) Haitian nationals. In total, 8 Haitian nationals with irregular immigration status were intercepted, of whom 6 are male and 2 are female. Both Dominican drivers and undocumented foreigners, along with the retained motorcycles, were transferred to the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Brigade of the ERD, to carry out the corresponding legal processes.Four Dominicans arrested for transporting undocumented Haitians on motorcycles in Santiago Rodríguez
Santiago Rodríguez, RD. – Within the framework of the security and immigration control operations maintained by the Dominican Republic Army, members of the 4th Infantry Brigade arrested four Dominican citizens and eight (8) Haitian nationals in irregular migratory status, during an operation carried out in Santiago Rodríguez.
The day took place in the vicinity of the La Leonor Military Detachment, when the detainees were trying to evade the military checkpoint.
