Government prioritizes investment in early childhood, says Inaipi director

Santo Domingo. – The executive director of the National Institute for Comprehensive Care of Early Childhood (Inaipi), Josefa Castillo Rodríguez, assured that the government of President Luis Abinader has reoriented public policies to place vulnerable children at the center of the national agenda, guaranteeing their right to nutrition, health, and comprehensive development from the early years of life. During his speech on the second day of the IV International Seminar on Early Childhood: Opportunities for a Sustainable Future, Castillo highlighted that the current government management has strengthened investment in the child population from 0 to 5 years old as part of a structured public policy with social impact, aimed at improving the quality of life and human development of the country.

The official explained that the boys and girls who graduate from INAIPI do so with higher levels of learning and socialization, which allows them to integrate in better conditions into formal education. The seminar, which concludes this Friday, brings together national and international experts and seeks to position investment in early childhood as a strategic and transformative decision for the sustainable development of the Dominican Republic.
