Santo Domingo. The director of the Emergency Operations Center (COE), Juan Manuel Méndez, surprised everyone this Tuesday by announcing that he married his life partner, Mariela, with whom he has shared his life for years and raised his children.
Through a post on his social media, Méndez expressed his happiness for this important step in his personal life and explained that the decision seeks to strengthen his family and provide greater security for his children.
“After many years of insisting to my life partner, she finally agreed to marry me and thus formalize our bond to strengthen and provide more security to our young children,” he wrote.
The official revealed that the ceremony was held intimately, with the purpose of avoiding large expenses and allocating those resources to sharing with family.
