“With a practical talk on prevention and safety, the Fire Department reinforces its commitment to educate and protect the new generations of Dominican society”Santo Domingo.– Within the framework of the recreational and educational program “Fun Summer 2025”, the Santo Domingo Norte Fire Department gave an interactive talk on fire prevention and home safety, aimed at the children of the collaborators of the General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (DIGEIG).
The activity took place at the DIGEIG facilities, with the purpose of strengthening the culture of prevention and response to emergencies from an early age. During the talk, the experts explained in a dynamic way and adapted to children topics such as:
Responsible use of fire and electricity.
Identification of risks in the home.
Evacuation procedures.
Importance of calling 9-1-1 in emergencies.

The children actively participated, asked questions, and shared experiences, thus reinforcing practical learning. In addition, they had the opportunity to get a close look at the firefighters’ work equipment and receive useful recommendations for their daily lives.
DIGEIG thanked the Santo Domingo Norte Fire Department for its willingness and commitment to citizen training, highlighting that the activity is framed within the values of integrity, responsibility, and teamwork that the institution promotes.
