Social Policy Cabinet and CEDI-Mujer promote the program “Taking care of yourself today is loving yourself always”

Santo Domingo. – With the purpose of promoting health and self-care among Dominican women, the Social Policy Cabinet announced the development of the program “Taking care of yourself today is loving yourself always,” an initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer. The day, which will be held in different communities of the country, seeks to encourage women to undergo periodic medical check-ups, as well as to adopt healthy lifestyles that contribute to reducing the risk factors associated with this disease. The program is part of the actions promoted by the Social Policy Cabinet and the Center for the Integral Development for Women, within the framework of its commitment to the integral well-being of Dominican families. Through this initiative, educational talks, medical evaluations, and guidance activities will be developed, especially for women in vulnerable sectors.

During the launch, the organizers highlighted that early detection continues to be the most effective tool for saving lives, and that the central message of the campaign seeks to reinforce the idea that taking care of oneself is an act of self-love and family responsibility. With this type of program, the Social Policy Cabinet reaffirms its commitment to preventive health and female empowerment, thus contributing to the strengthening of a culture of self-care throughout the country.
