Government inaugurates Opportunity Center 14-24 exclusively for women in SDN, with support from CEDI Mujer

Santo Domingo.- The Social Policy Cabinet inaugurated the Oportunidad 14-24 Center number 149, an exclusive space for 50 young women between 14 and 18 years old, who will receive training in beauty, gastronomy, computer science and aulic project, in addition to psychosocial support and comprehensive health services. The Cabinet coordinator, Tony Peña, highlighted that the center represents “a real opportunity” to transform the lives of young women in Santo Domingo Norte.


The director of CEDI Mujer, Ana Lendor, underlined the importance of offering a safe, protective space with comprehensive care for adolescents.

While the program’s sub-coordinator, Alex Mordan, pointed out that Oportunidad 14-24 is a proven public policy, with more than 24 thousand graduates and an impact that exceeds 40 thousand young people nationwide.

With this opening, the program continues to consolidate as an effective tool for inclusion and social justice for Dominican youth.
