Santo Domingo.– The United States Embassy in the Dominican Republic clarified that there is no executive order preventing the re-entry to the North American country of legal permanent residents who are temporarily absent. Through a statement on its official channels, the diplomatic headquarters denied the rumors circulating on social media and reiterated that there have been no legal changes affecting the rights of those who have permanent residency.

“That’s false. Permanent residents retain the same rights as always to enter and leave the country,” the embassy pointed out, thus rejecting versions that attributed a supposed restrictive measure to the past administration of former President Donald Trump.

Authorities urged the population to get information only through official channels and avoid spreading unverified content that could generate confusion or alarm, especially among migrant communities.
