Iran denies Trump and denies having approved a peace agreement with the United States
The Government of Iran denied this Thursday the claims of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who asserted that both nations had reached the final points of an agreement to end the current crisis and that, for that reason, he canceled the military attacks planned for tonight.
According to the Iranian agency Fars, citing sources close to Tehran’s negotiating team, Iran has not approved any memorandum of understanding nor has it given the green light to the terms announced by Washington.
Hours earlier, Trump had announced that he was suspending the scheduled bombings against Iranian territory following talks held “at the highest level” and assured that the details of the alleged agreement had already been agreed upon. Furthermore, he indicated that the U.S. naval blockade would continue until the official signing of the pact.

The Iranian response casts doubt on the optimism expressed by the White House and shows that significant differences persist between both parties, especially on issues related to economic sanctions, the Iranian nuclear program, and security in the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, tension remains high in the Middle East. Although the United States speaks of diplomatic progress, exchanges of attacks and mutual accusations continue, which maintains uncertainty about the possibility of reaching a definitive agreement in the short term.
