Banreservas leads with RD$135,000 million in financing in the northern region

The CEO of Banco de Reservas, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, reported that the institution’s loan portfolio in the northern region is at RD$135,000 million, of which RD$56,000 million are placed in Santiago.

When heading a meeting with clients from the northern zone, the bank executive emphasized that these figures reflect Banreservas’ solid leadership and place Cibao as the epicenter for granting financing to the different productive sectors of the region.

“Banreservas has been essential in the economic, social, and business development of the area, contributing to the dynamism that the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, is imprinting with significant and strategically distributed investments throughout the region,” he said.

Of the portfolio placed in the region, RD$50,592 million were allocated to the consumption of goods and services; RD$25,800 million for the purchase and remodeling of housing, real estate activities and construction in general; RD$18,510 million for wholesale and retail trade, and another RD$15,467 million for the manufacturing industry.

RD$5,460 million was also allocated for the exploitation of mines and quarries; RD$5,000 million for social services and those related to human health; RD$4,182 million for transportation and storage, and RD$11,801 million for activities of organizations and extraterritorial bodies.

Aguilera emphasized that Banreservas makes available to its clients its long and fruitful experience of 84 years of support to all productive sectors, which he considered as true generators of jobs and wealth.

He thanked the clients for their loyalty and defined them as strategic allies, based on a business relationship that has guaranteed excellent results for the development of their companies and the well-being of the country.

At the traditional cocktail party, held at the Banreservas Club in Santiago, business people, local authorities, associates, and executives from the Bank’s Business division were in attendance.
