Dollar price in the Dominican Republic this Friday, January 2, 2026

The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the US dollar for this Friday, January 2, 2026, as follows:

In financial institutions, the buying rate of the dollar was RD$62.87, while the selling rate reached RD$63.74.

When comparing these figures, an accumulated depreciation of 3.39% is observed in the purchase (which was at RD$60.74) and 3.61% in the sale (compared to RD$61.45 the previous year).

For their part, remittance and exchange agents ended the year with a buying rate of RD$61.98 and a selling rate of RD$63.86.

This sector has experienced a more pronounced annual variation in sales, with a depreciation of 4.17% in the last year, when the dollar was sold at RD$61.20.

Regarding the purchase, the annual depreciation in this segment was 3.24%.
