Sharon Stone spoke about her love life and confirmed that she has remained celibate for a long period.

The 68-year-old actress made the revelation during an interview with Mayim Bialik on the Breakdown podcast, which aired on Tuesday, September 8.

During the conversation, the star of Basic Instinct addressed various topics regarding her personal life, including her acting career, her experience with alleged “alien orbs,” and the current state of her romantic relationships.

Bialik, known for her role in The Big Bang Theory, asked Stone what she was like “as a partner.”

The actress replied that she considers herself “a very good girlfriend,” although she acknowledged that she has not held that role in a long time.

“I have been a girlfriend to bad boyfriends and I have been a girlfriend to good boyfriends,” recounted Stone, who added that she has had “good luck, bad luck, and no luck” in the romantic realm.

“For quite some time I haven’t had any luck. I’ve been celibate for quite a while because I’m at the point where I only want to be with someone I truly care about,” the actress explained during the interview.

The Hollywood artist detailed that, after the upbringing stage of her three children, her priorities changed.

As she explained, she is now looking for “someone who is my partner, not just someone to have sex with.”

“I’m a bit bored of that,” she stated regarding casual relationships. “I’m in the phase of no luck at all right now.”

The actress described that period as a necessary stage to be able to achieve what she is really looking for in a relationship.

When Bialik asked her if she had experienced “the great love of her life”, Stone was clear in her response: “I have had loves in my life, but I don’t think I have had the great love of my life”.

The actress was married on two occasions. First to producer Michael Greenburg, between 1984 and 1990, and later to journalist Phil Bronstein, between 1998 and 2004.

With Bronstein, she adopted her eldest son, Roan, in 2000, who is currently 26 years old. After the divorce, she adopted Laird, 21, in 2005, and Quinn, 20, in 2006.

In a previous appearance on the podcast The Person Who Believed In Me, in June, Stone had recounted that in 2001 she was diagnosed with tumors in both breasts and that doctors recommended a bilateral mastectomy.

According to his account, Bronstein opposed the decision and called the surgery “ridiculous” before leaving the room.

The actress stated that a doctor intervened at that moment to support her: “If I had more patients like her, we would have more women alive today. She must sit down,” the professional allegedly told Bronstein, according to Stone’s account.

“And I said: ‘I make the decisions, not you’”, the actress recalled.

That episode, according to her testimony, ultimately defined the end of the marriage. “That was the end of the marriage. That was it. He ended it with me then. It was over,” she recounted.

The tumors turned out to be benign, so the mastectomy was ultimately not necessary.

Sharon Stone has not remarried since her divorce from Bronstein in 2004.

Despite the period of celibacy she is going through, the actress remained optimistic about her future possibilities.

Asked in June whether she believes she will one day find someone who loves her “just as she is,” she replied with certainty: “I will.” Source: Infobae
