Santo Domingo.- The Dominican contemporary Christian music band Barak thrilled the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot last Saturday with a show full of emotion, faith, and energy, as part of their successful international tour “Dios Fuerte Tour”.
Eleven years after their debut on Puerto Rican soil, in 2014, the trio formed by Robert Green, Angelo Frilop, and Janiel Ponciano returned to the stage that opened doors for them abroad, with a total dedication to the audience that has faithfully followed them for over a decade.
Just a week after filling the Prudential Center in New Jersey, Barak landed in San Juan with an impeccable staging. Robert Green, lead vocalist, opened with the song that gives the tour its name, followed by “Profetizaré” and “La tierra canta”, while connecting naturally and emotionally with the audience.
“Puerto Rico is too special for us,” Green said during the concert, reiterating what he had already expressed hours earlier in an interview with El Nuevo Día. And it was no surprise: the group has five sold-out performances at the “Choli,” a symbol of the deep connection with their Puerto Rican audience.
The repertoire continued to lift spirits with songs like “Libre soy”, “Baruch Hashem”, “Acepta”, “Te quiero adorar” and “Si amén”, while Angelo Frilop, music producer and band leader, along with Janiel Ponciano on bass, offered a solid sound base.
The concert reached one of its most special moments when the renowned singer Marcos Yaroide took the stage. Preceded by “Bondad de Dios” performed by Green, the duet with Yaroide in “Todo se lo debo a él” was applauded. Then, together they performed “Todo va a estar bien” and, to the surprise of the audience, the arrival of Lilly Goodman marked another high point of the night. Her voice enveloped the venue in “Cúbreme” and then moved with “Al final”, accompanied by the band.

In the final stretch, Barak kept the audience on their feet with songs like “Tu hijo soy”, “Háblame”, “Shekinah”, “Inúndanos”, “Con poder”, “Espíritu Santo ven”, “Mi gozo” and “A danzar”. With Josué Capel on guitar and David Nolasco on drums, the group closed an unforgettable night with strength.

When the lights went out and the stage plunged into darkness, the echo of the concert vibrated in every heart present. Puerto Rico, once again, reaffirmed that Barak has a home on the island where they will always be welcomed with open arms.
