The merengue experienced a memorable night last weekend at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, where the Dominican Víctor Roque, leader of the legendary group La Gran Manzana, had an outstanding participation as a special guest in Elvis Crespo’s concert, held under the concept of “El Colmadito de Elvis Crespo”.
With his usual energy and charisma on stage, Roque quickly connected with the audience, who received him with enthusiasm and ovations.

During his presentation, Víctor Roque was accompanied by Tony Valdez, a musician who has been part of La Gran Manzana since its inception, as well as the new member Raúl Armando, remembered for his hits with Karis.
Elvis Crespo’s concert started at 9:32 PM, with a completely devoted audience that enjoyed a repertoire of 28 songs that covered all stages of his career.
The show was backed by a striking set design that recreated a typical grocery store from the 1970s, along with a barbershop and a bar on stage, evoking the artist’s origins.
Born in 1971 in the state of New York, Crespo used this visual concept as a direct nod to his roots and his musical journey.
During the almost three-hour show, the audience stood, dancing without rest in a continuous celebration of merengue.
