The production will be available soon on all digital platforms. Santo Domingo.- The merengue group Jossie Esteban, Ringo and La Patrulla 15 announced the release of a new song titled “Como YO”, marking their return to the music scene after more than a decade without presenting new productions.
The single was composed by the Venezuelan singer-songwriter Carlos Baute, with musical arrangements by Alberto “Ringo” Martínez, member and musical director of the group. The performance is by Jossie Esteban, lead singer of the band since its founding.

Group’s Trajectory

Jossie Esteban y La Patrulla 15 emerged in the 1980s and quickly established itself as one of the most internationally renowned merengue groups. Among their best-known songs are El Can, Agua de Coco, Pégame tu Vicio and Una Noche de Copas. Their style, characterized by fusions of traditional merengue with modern elements, allowed them to gain space on stages in Latin America, the United States, and Europe.

During its years of activity, the group released albums that reached high levels of radio and television diffusion, becoming a reference in the tropical genre. Its last active stage with unreleased releases dates back more than ten years, so this new song represents the beginning of a new artistic phase.

Composition and production

The song Como YO features the collaboration of Carlos Baute in the composition, known for his career as a singer-songwriter and producer. The arrangements are by Alberto “Ringo” Martínez, a historical member of the band, who maintains the musical direction of the project.
