Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. – The acclaimed Dominican soprano Nathalie Peña Comas announces the global premiere of her new single, “Esclavo y Amo” (Slave and Master), available on all digital platforms this June 19th. Conceived as a tribute to the legacy of the legendary Javier Solís, the piece transcends nostalgia to become a sonic bridge that intertwines classical vocal technique with contemporary instrumental and rhythmic richness.

For Peña Comas, this release marks a definitive milestone in her career, positioning herself as a curator and architect of a project with global reach. “There are songs that transcend time. Songs that have accompanied love stories, farewells, memories, and moments that remain in our memory forever. ‘Esclavo y Amo’ is one of them,” the artist expresses. “With great respect for the legacy of the great Javier Solís, beloved in the Hispanic world, we wanted to pay tribute to him through a different interpretation, one that embraces new influences and connects our cultures and musical sensibilities.”

Far from settling for conventional readings of the romantic songbook, the work proposes an unprecedented sonic ecosystem. “This release represents much more than a single,” Peña Comas elaborates. “It is the first step of my artistic dream that we have been building with enthusiasm, dedication, and a lot of heart. That foundational vision found its materialization under the direction of the prominent music producer Enrique Martínez. “The project was born from a conviction of the extraordinary Nathalie. We wanted to take a different direction, with the purpose of exploring a sonority inspired by world music and a more contemporary artistic vision, without setting aside the essence and respect for the work,” details Martínez. “My intention was to create a space where Nathalie’s exceptional voice could reveal new emotions and nuances, offering the public a fresh, elegant, and universal experience.”

This reinterpretation required the assembly of a world-class ensemble of historic musicians. The amalgamation of textures includes the depth of the Duduk played by Pedro Eustache (Hans Zimmer), the percussive rigor of flamenco, and the masterful cadence of contemporary music legends such as drummer Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Frank Zappa) and bassist Carlitos Del Puerto (Bruce Springsteen). All of this, assembled under a meticulous engineering process at Left Way Studios in Los Angeles, California.
