Santo Domingo, RD – The “La Corona brilla por el Autismo” (The Crown Shines for Autism) fashion show, held at the Kimpton Las Mercedes hotel, was not only a display of elegance, high-level fashion and social commitment, but also the setting for one of the most human and memorable moments of the night. Amidst lights, applause and haute couture creations by Giannina Azar, a young model starred in an episode that transformed the runway into a lesson in strength and determination. During her walk down the main staircase, the model whose identity has not been revealed suffered a spectacular fall that stopped the breath of those present for seconds. The initial silence gave way to tension, when it was found that one of her shoes had broken as a result of the impact. However, far from abandoning the catwalk, the young woman stood up with composure and dignity, demonstrating that elegance is not only worn in dress, but also in attitude.
