Young fan mistakes Karol G for Shakira during concert
Karol G shared an awkward but heartwarming moment with a young fan during her concert in Toronto after the child mistakenly identified one of Shakira’s songs as her favorite Karol G track.
While interacting with the girl, Karol G paused the show to ask about her favorite song. The child replied “Dai Dai,” the official anthem of the FIFA World Cup performed by Shakira.
Smiling, Karol G responded, “Your favorite song is ‘Dai Dai’ by Shakira?” before encouraging the young fan to sing it. The audience quickly joined in, turning the mix-up into a lighthearted moment.
The exchange quickly went viral on social media, where many praised the singer’s warm reaction. The moment also drew attention because of long-running speculation about a rivalry between Karol G and fellow Colombian star Shakira following their collaboration on “TQG.”
