Rescue teams searched Thursday for hundreds of people missing along the Nepal-China border after a catastrophic torrent of water and mud swept through several communities following the collapse of a glacier.
Videos showed people running to escape the floodwaters as the rushing water destroyed buildings and bridges.
At least 353 people have died and more than 1,300 remain missing, according to police. Dozens of foreigners and pilgrims are among those missing, while hundreds more have been displaced across the Himalayan region.
