Georgia woman, 76, kills ex-husband, his younger girlfriend because she didn’t approve of their relationship

A 76-year-old woman in Georgia has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly shooting her former husband and his girlfriend, who was decades younger than her, at a home in Toombs County.
Grace Edge is accused of fatally shooting her ex-husband, Wallace Truman Edge, 75, and Pamela Cook, 40, on Monday, October 19, at a trailer home on McNatt Falls Road in Uvalda, according to local authorities.
Investigators allege that Edge entered the residence and fired her gun five times. Wallace Edge and Cook were shot a combined four times and pronounced dead at the scene.
Cook’s 55-year-old mother, Diane Cook, was inside the home during the shooting. She called 911 and was also shot in the arm. Her injury was described as non-life-threatening.
“She just come in start shooting,” Diane Cook told the emergency dispatcher, according to local media reports.
Authorities cite relationship as possible motive
Toombs County Sheriff Jordan Kight said the couple had been divorced for more than a decade but maintained an on-and-off relationship until Wallace Edge began dating Cook.
“Mr. Edge had started dating Pamela, and it appears that based on information we received that Grace was not accepting of the situation,” Kight told WTOC.
Authorities said Edge was taken into custody shortly after the shooting. Investigators believe she drove directly to the sheriff’s office after leaving the residence.

Officials also revealed that the former couple had repeatedly called police on each other over domestic disputes and other incidents. No arrests had been made in connection with the previous reported incidents, according to local media.
Faces seven charges
Edge faces seven charges in connection with the shooting, including two counts of malice murder, two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
She is being held at the Toombs County Detention Center pending her first court appearance. The allegations against her have not been proven in court.
