Paris.- French President Emmanuel Macron‘s party has filed a legal complaint against Marine Le Pen’s party, National Rally (RN), accusing it of having “plagiarized” its political brand ‘Renaissance’ in the national-populist force’s slogan for the 2027 presidential elections.
“Our ‘Renaissance’ identity, which has designated our political movement since 2019, cannot be usurped for the sole purpose of creating confusion in the minds of voters,” denounces the party led by former French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who is also a candidate in the presidential elections.

The lawsuit for “parasitism” and “trademark infringement” has been admitted for processing and the hearing will take place on July 27th at the Paris Court.
“This misappropriation is not trivial: it manifestly seeks to exploit the notoriety of our movement by seizing an essential element of its identity, namely, its name,” added the centrist party.
After having avoided political disqualification in the ruling of last July 7, Le Pen launched her campaign for 2027, with the slogan ‘Pour la France, la renaissance’ (For France, the renaissance), inscribed in large letters, while in the foreground some out-of-focus French flags evoke the atmosphere of a rally.
