Cancún.- The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, received this Thursday in Cancún, in the Mexican Caribbean mexicano, the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in a meeting where they will address commercial cooperation, investment, education and culture, shortly before the signing of the modernization of the agreement with the European Union (EU).

Relationship between Mexico and Germany
Following a previous meeting, Chancellor De la Fuente emphasized in a statement that “German companies have played an essential role in the development of the industrial base mexicana, particularly in sectors such as automotive, engineering, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and advanced manufacturing”.
Likewise, he indicated that Mexico is Germany’s main trading partner in Latin America, with more than 2,100 German companies operating in the country and generating more than 300,000 jobs. This is Steinmeier’s second visit to Mexico, this time accompanied by an official delegation and a delegation of German entrepreneurs.
