The victims’ ages range from 27 to 61 years old; the three deceased were a 27-year-old man, another 35-year-old, and a third man whose age is immediately unknown. Tisch indicated that the remaining eight victims were taken to nearby hospitals in Brooklyn with non-life-threatening injuries. “It’s terrible what happened this morning and we are going to investigate to determine what happened,” Tisch declared. The shooting began after a dispute in the crowded club, the commissioner stated. She added that officers recovered at least 36 shell casings from the venue this Sunday morning, as well as a firearm that was discovered on a nearby street. The New York City Police Department (NYPD) was searching for several armed men on Sunday; there were no arrests immediately after the shooting. The shooting occurs amid a year with record-breaking gun violence in New York City.
