Washington.- The White House prevented the CNN network from being part of the group of journalists that will accompany the President of the United States, Donald Trump, aboard the presidential plane during the trip he will take this Saturday to Knoxville, Tennessee, as reported by The Washington Post, which cited two people familiar with the decision on condition of anonymity.
The measure comes just one day after a federal judge ordered the Government to temporarily restore access for CNN, MS NOW, and Politico to the White House, after these organizations were excluded from official coverage by Trump’s decision.

Magistrate Timothy Kelly ordered that the three media outlets have their credentials and access restored for 14 days, while the legal process initiated by the journalistic organizations against the Administration continues. The resolution noted that the plaintiffs had a likelihood of demonstrating that the revocation of their credentials occurred without constitutional due process.
The conflict began after Trump announced restrictions against CNN, MS NOW and Politico, whom he publicly accused of spreading information he labeled as fake. The media outlets rejected the accusations and maintained that the decision was related to the content of their coverage.

The dispute also sparked a response from other major U.S. networks. ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and Fox News temporarily suspended their participation in the rotating pool responsible for providing footage of presidential activities, in solidarity with the affected media outlets.
Following Thursday’s court order, journalists from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico returned to the White House. However, the decision to prevent CNN from traveling on Air Force One to Tennessee introduces a new episode in the confrontation between the Administration and the press.
Trump’s Trip
Trump’s trip to Knoxville is scheduled for this Saturday. The information regarding CNN’s exclusion from the presidential flight was initially reported by The Washington Post, which noted that the decision was communicated while coverage of the president’s travel is being reorganized.
