Deicy Jiménez, the woman who accused former Colombian president Gustavo Petro of allegedly using public contracts in exchange for sexual favors, has released a video that she says supports her account of their relationship.

In a video posted to Instagram, Jiménez said she was publishing the recording as evidence that she was telling the truth. She also called on Colombian authorities to protect her and her family, saying she would hold Petro responsible if anything happened to them.

The approximately 55-second recording shows Jiménez and Petro inside a room. At one point, Petro appears wearing a gray shirt before putting on a jacket. They exchange a brief conversation, leave the camera’s view and later return. Petro is then seen holding Jiménez by the hair and kissing her. The date and circumstances of the recording have not been established in the report.

The video is the first publicly released recording cited by Jiménez in which Petro appears directly with her. The former president previously denied ever paying for sexual favors, but his public response did not specifically address Jiménez or explain the nature of their relationship.

The allegations remain under investigation. Colombia’s Attorney General’s Office is handling the case, while the Inspector General’s Office has also opened a preliminary inquiry into allegations involving government officials. A scheduled statement by Jiménez to prosecutors was postponed after her lawyer withdrew from the case, citing security concerns.

Jiménez has previously claimed that she was part of a network of between 30 and 40 women who allegedly received public contracts in exchange for accompanying Petro to parties and providing other services. She said she met him in 2019. Public records cited by La Silla Vacía show contracts involving Jiménez with several government institutions beginning in 2023.

The release of the video adds a new element to the political controversy surrounding the allegations. However, the recording alone does not establish the claims about public contracts or prove that any contracts were exchanged f
